Midday Coconut Breaks

A tradition, as of this week, here at tanya-b:

Enjoy a coconut by buying one fresh, poking a hole in it, and drinking delicious coco water. Then smash with a hammer and scoop out delicious coco meat.

Tropical fruits are the best!

Bamboo = Awesome

In Hong Kong, the scaffolding is made of bamboo. The men build it while sitting on it, basically. It's crazy as you can see...

Have a good day!

The Peak

So far, my days have been following the lovely routine of morning yoga, followed a few hours of work for tanya-b, followed by an adventure of some kind. Last week, I was invited to a birthday party at the highest peak in Hong Kong, known as The Peak. The Peak is surrounded by a beautiful garden fitted with gazebos, lots of green, flowers, and of course lookouts.

I believe the following pictures speak for themselves:

I am so grateful that I was able to see this amazing part of Hong Kong while I am here this summer. I can't wait to explore some more areas as we truck along. It's also great to be surrounded by some inspiring yogis like Lawrence:

I'll continue to keep you updated on the hottest and most humid summer of my life...

Landed!

Hello friends and family,

I started this blog to document my adventure this summer in Hong Kong. I arrived a few days ago and still getting used to the 12 hour time difference! I will be starting my day tomorrow with 2 hours of yoga and then finally getting to work.

For those of you who don't know why I'm here, I am helping out this amazing new company called tanya-b, named after yoga instructor and co-creator Tanya Boulton. Karin is the other half of tanya-b, living in Hong Kong. To check out some of their yoga apparel go to tanya-b.com.

Another fun fact of Hong Kong is that it is the home of the world longest escalator, helping commuters get to and from work along a busy, and very steep, part of town.

I'll have to upload some better pictures later...

Ciao,
Yifaa
